About MLLCC

Mother Language, Literature & Cultural Council, Melbourne Inc.

Who We Are

The Mother Language, Literature & Cultural Council, Melbourne Inc. (MLLCC) was established to advance culture, education, literature, and mutual respect through the celebration of mother languages and folk traditions. We believe that language is more than a means of communication — it is a repository of identity, history, knowledge, and cultural memory.

Our Vision

To create an inclusive Australia where all languages, cultures, and literary traditions are valued, celebrated, and passed on to future generations.

Our Mission

To promote linguistic diversity, cultural heritage, literature, and education through community engagement, cultural events, partnerships, and advocacy.

04

At MLLCC, we recognise that every language carries a unique story and every culture contributes to Australia's rich social fabric. Through literature, education, and cultural engagement, we seek to build bridges between communities while preserving the heritage that shapes our identities.
